How to add printers
Xerox 6250 – 128.200.90.192 4th floor
- Go on the internet site www.xerox.com
o This is where you will be downloading the drivers for this printer
- In the search field search for “6250”
- Click on “Download Drivers” under “PhaserTM 6250”
- Refine search to your appropriate Operating System
o For example: XP, 2000, 98, ME
- Scroll down and search for “6250enw2kpc.exe” with Date/Version 10/9/03
o Once you click on this link you will be prompted to download the driver
- Once the download is complete go to where you downloaded the file to on your computer
o Double click on the file and this will start the extraction process
o It will extract to “C:\ 6250enw2kpc”
- Control Panel -> Printers -> add printer
- Select Local Printer and de-select “automatically detect … “
o It should not automatically select a printer for you.
- Select Create a new Port
o Then on the drop down menu to the right select “Standard TCP/IP Port” and click next until you are prompted for an IP address
- Type in the IP address and click next twice
- When prompted for the printer make and model click “Have Disk”
- You will browse your computer for this appropriate driver, which is located at “C:\6250pc2k” and select “x6250pcl.inf”
- Select “Xerox Phaser 6250N PCL 5C”
- If you are prompted about the driver not being “digitally signed” just ignore it and continue installing.

Xerox CP 55 – 128.200.90.46 4th floor
- Control Panel -> Printers -> add a printer
- Select Local Printer and de-select “automatically detect … “
o It should not automatically select a printer for you.
- Select Create a new Port
o Then on the drop down menu to the right select “Standard TCP/IP Port” and click next until you are prompted for an IP address
- Type in IP Address
- Click next until you are prompted for printer type and model
- Search for “Xerox Work Center Pro 55”
- Click next and keep any existing drivers, if there are any
- Print Test Page
HP LaserJet 5si MX – 128.200.90.193 4th floor
HP LaserJet 4000N – 128.200.91.15 4th floor
- Control Panel -> Printers -> add a printer
- Select Local Printer and de-select “automatically detect … “
o It should not automatically select a printer for you.
- Select Create a new Port
o Then on the drop down menu to the right select “Standard TCP/IP Port” and click next until you are prompted for an IP address
- Type in the IP Address
- Click next until you are prompted for printer type and model
- Search for “HP LaserJet 5si MX”
o Or search for “HP LaserJet 4000N” if installing this one
- Click next and keep any existing drivers, if there are any
- Print Test Page
Xerox Work Center Pro 35 – 128.200.91.22 3rd floor
- Control Panel -> Printers -> add a printer
- Select Local Printer from the two available options and de-select “automatically detect…”
o It should not automatically select a printer for you.
- Select Create a New Port
o Then on the drop down menu to the right select “Standard TCP/IP Port” and click next until you are prompted for an IP address
- Type in the IP Address
- Click next until you are prompted for a printer type and model
- Search for “Xerox Work Center Pro 35”
- Click next and keep any existing drivers, if there are any
- Print Test Page
Lexmark C720 – 128.200.90.189 3rd floor
- Control Panel -> Printers -> add a printer
- Select Local Printer and de-select “automatically detect … “
o It should not automatically select a printer for you.
- Select Create a new Port
o Then on the drop down menu to the right select “Standard TCP/IP Port” and click next until you are prompted for an IP address
- Type in the IP Address
- Click next until you are prompted for printer type and model
- Search for “Lexmark C720”
- Click next and keep any existing drivers, if there are any
- Print Test Page
Apple LaserWriter 16/600 PS – 128.200.90.190 3rd floor
- Control Panel -> Printers -> add a printer
- Local Printer and de-select “automatically detect … “
o It should not automatically select a printer for you.
- Select Create a new Port
o Then on the drop down menu to the right select “Standard TCP/IP Port” and click next until you are prompted for an IP address
o When you are prompted for “additional port information” select the option “parallel” from the drop down menu shown.
- Type in the IP Address
- Click next until you are prompted for printer type and model
- Search for “apple” “LaserWriter16/600”
- Click next and keep any existing drivers, if there are any
- Print Test Page
