Salary:
$38,652 to $40,512 per annum
The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering seeks a qualified researcher for appointment as a Postdoctoral Scholar in the area of Electronic Design for MEMS. The candidate should have a record of research documented by publications in premier journals. A Ph.D. degree in engineering or physical sciences is required, with expertise in the area of electronics design for Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS). The successful applicant will be expected to conduct research in the areas of control and sensing of solid-state and atomic micro-gyroscopes, as well as in the area of biomedical electrostimulatory prosthesis. The candidate will be responsible for the development, design, and test of advanced ASICs. Strong problem solving skills and analytical skills, as well as past experiences in PCB design, analog-digital design, circuit modeling, and CMOS implementation are required. Previous experience in electronics design for inertial and/or vibratory MEMS is desirable. Excellence in written and oral expression with the English language is a necessity.
