PARKER
HANNIFIN FELLOWSHIP
IN
MOTION AND
FLUID CONTROL
- The purpose of the
program is to foster research in the thrust of Motion and
Fluid Control.
- The Parker Hannifin
Fellowship is for graduate studies leading to a Master's
degree, but Ph.D. students will not be excluded. The term
of the fellowship may be granted on a yearly basis or on
a multi-year basis with the agreement of Parker Hannifin.
- The research or
study area should relate to any aspect of control for
fluids and motion. The Fellow's selected research topic
shall be reviewed by UCI-MAE faculty and Parker Bertea
Aerospace representatives for consistency with the
Fellowship titled thrust area.
- The candidate must
be a U.S. citizen, and it is preferred that he/she
has excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Parker Hannifin
gives the UCI-MAE Department $25,000 for each annual
fellowship. This amount includes tuition, student
stipend, and student summer support.
- In addition to the
Fellowship, Parker Hannifin offers summer employment to
the Fellow. However, there is no obligation on the part
of the Fellow to accept this summer employment, nor is
there an obligation to either party at the end of the
Fellowship period.
- Funding of the
Fellowship is provided in September of each academic
year.
