Robotics and Machine Learning
The focus of this area is the creation of machines with human-like intelligence capabilities for learning. An emphasis is placed on the learning of movement to achieve higher-level objectives for propulsion and manipulation. Core topics in this area include geometric nonlinear control, optimal control, artificial intelligence and neural networks, multibody dynamics, robotics, and information systems. Example applications include robotic rehabilitation, robot locomotion, fluidic propulsion systems, and autonomous flight vehicles sd_rml.gif (4806 bytes)
